Commodity 02 · Indonesia

Indonesian green coffee for European roasters and importers.

Robusta and arabica, commercial and specialty grades, sourced through our base in Bali and delivered into European warehouses under contract.

Origin

The fourth-largest producing country, and one of the hardest to buy consistently.

Indonesia is the world’s fourth-largest coffee producer and has been among the largest robusta producers for two decades. Roughly nine tenths of the crop is robusta; arabica is the smaller share and carries the specialty reputation, protected in cases such as Gayo by geographical indication.

Sumatra holds the largest planted area, with Java, Sulawesi, Flores and Bali making up much of the balance — each with its own processing convention and its own defect profile. That variety is exactly why buying it by email does not work.

Our base in Bali exists so that lot selection and supplier qualification happen close to the mill, in the harvest window rather than after it.

Verified 10 August 2026 against USDA FAS and sector reporting. Rankings and crop shares move with the season.

How we work at origin

Product formats

What we handle.

Green coffee only. We do not roast, and we do not compete with our customers.

Commercial green coffee

Volume-grade arabica and robusta for blends, instant and private-label production, contracted on screen size, defect count and moisture.

Specialty green coffee

Traceable lots contracted against cupping score and sensory description in addition to physical grading.

Robusta

Natural and washed robusta for blend components, espresso bases and soluble production.

Arabica

Washed, natural and honey-processed arabica across commercial and specialty grades.

Preservation packaging

Where contracted, barrier or vacuum packaging to protect moisture and sensory profile in transit and storage.

Programme supply

Repeating monthly or quarterly call-offs against an annual contract, rather than spot-by-spot purchasing.

What this page does not claimThe origins and grades above describe the coffee Nevermore works in. They are not a statement of certification held by Nevermore, of contracted volumes, or of exclusive supplier relationships. Grade, specification and sample availability are confirmed per enquiry, in writing, before any offer is made.
Compliance

Coffee is in scope of the EU Deforestation Regulation.

Coffee is covered by Regulation (EU) 2023/1115, with main obligations applying from 30 December 2026 for large operators and traders and 30 June 2027 for micro and small enterprises, following Regulation (EU) 2025/2650 (verified 10 August 2026).

For roasters this shifts part of the sourcing conversation from price and cup profile to what the supply chain can evidence. We treat origin records as part of the product, not an afterthought.
