Indonesia to Europe, and what comes after.
Our geography is defined by the contracts we hold, not by a map of countries we would like to be associated with. Today that map has one origin on it.
One origin at depth, one entry point into the Union.
Nevermore sources in Indonesia and imports into the European Union through Poland. Two fixed points, and everything in between under one contract.
Poland sits inside the EU customs territory and the single market: goods cleared for free circulation on import move within the Union without further customs formalities. It also sits on the land corridor between Western Europe and the Union’s eastern frontier, with access to Baltic container ports and to the North Sea range by road and rail.
For a buyer in Central or Eastern Europe, that means fewer hands on the cargo between the Indonesian mill and the production line.
Why the European end sits where it does.
Nevermore is based in Poland, inside the EU customs territory and the single market. Goods cleared for free circulation on import move within the Union without further customs formalities.
Poland sits on the land corridor between Western Europe and the Union’s eastern frontier, with access to Baltic container ports and to the North Sea range through established road and rail links. For a buyer in Central or Eastern Europe, that reduces the number of hands a cargo passes through.
Indonesia, by producing region.
Indonesia is the origin for every commodity we currently handle. Its producing regions are distinct enough that we treat them as separate sourcing problems rather than as one country.
Cocoa
Sulawesi accounts for around 65% of Indonesian cocoa output. Indonesia also grinds domestically, which is why beans and processed cocoa products come from the same origin.
Cocoa Sumatra · Java · Sulawesi · Flores · BaliCoffee
Sumatra holds the largest planted area; Gayo, Java, Sulawesi, Flores and the Bali highlands supply the arabica and specialty side.
Coffee Maluku · Sumatra · Bangka · Nusa TenggaraSpices, coconut & cashew
Cloves, nutmeg and mace, vanilla, cassia, pepper, coconut products and cashew, each from its own producing region of the archipelago.
SpicesFurther origins will be added when they are real, not when they are planned.
We are building producer relationships in additional countries. Each will be opened as a published origin only once we can run it to the same standard as Indonesia: a qualified supplier, an agreed specification, and origin documentation we can hand to a European buyer.
Until then it stays off this page. A map full of countries you cannot actually ship from is the fastest way to lose a procurement director on the second email.
What the Bali base actually does.
It is a working presence, not a letterhead. Its purpose is to remove the distance between a European specification and an Indonesian smallholding.
- Identifying and qualifying producers, collectors and exporters
- Drawing and dispatching samples during the harvest window
- Explaining the European specification to the supplier in person
- Collecting origin, production-location and traceability information
- Coordinating consolidation and loading with local partners
- Being physically reachable when a lot or a shipment goes wrong
