Supply chain

Origin to European delivery, in ten documented stages.

The value we add is not in any single stage. It is in owning the sequence, so that a European buyer contracts once instead of managing six counterparties.

In detail

The ten stages of a Nevermore contract.

Each stage has an output that must exist before the next begins. That is what makes the process auditable rather than merely well-intentioned.

  1. Supplier identification

We map candidate producers, cooperatives, processors and exporters at origin against the requirement, rather than working from whoever happens to be offering that week.

  2. Supplier qualification

Legal existence, export capability, production or aggregation capacity, references and documentation practice are checked before commercial discussion advances.

  3. Specification agreement

Quality parameters, tolerances, sampling method and the arbitration standard are agreed in writing and attached to the contract.

  4. Product verification

Where contracted, samples are drawn and analysed before shipment; results are compared against the agreed specification, not against a general expectation.

  5. Documentation assembly

Commercial documents, transport documents, certificates of origin, food-safety and phytosanitary documents where applicable, and traceability records are assembled before departure.

  6. Logistics coordination

Booking, container selection and loading supervision, liner or NVOCC arrangement, and insurance are coordinated with selected freight partners.

  7. Import into the EU

Customs declaration and release for free circulation, duty and VAT handling, and any control by the competent authorities at the point of entry.

  8. Quality on arrival

Where contracted, arrival sampling and analysis confirm that what was shipped is what was specified, before the goods enter the buyer’s production.

  9. European distribution

Delivery to the buyer’s site, to a designated warehouse, or storage for call-off, coordinated with selected warehousing partners.

  10. Programme review

Performance against specification, timing and documentation is reviewed with the buyer and fed back into the supplier relationship at origin.

Honest scope

We coordinate infrastructure; we do not pretend to own it.

Nevermore works with selected logistics, freight-forwarding, customs and warehousing partners. We do not operate our own vessels, terminals, laboratories or processing facilities, and we do not claim to.

What we own is the contract, the specification and the accountability. When a container is late or a lot is off-specification, you deal with us — not with a chain of parties pointing at each other.

Why this matters commercially: a buyer whose supplier exaggerates its infrastructure discovers it during the first problem shipment. We would rather be believed than impressive.

Documents that typically travel with a shipment

  • Commercial invoice and packing list
  • Bill of lading or other transport document
  • Certificate of origin, where applicable
  • Phytosanitary certificate, where applicable
  • Weight and quality certificates from the agreed inspection body
  • Analysis certificates against the contracted parameters
  • Fumigation or treatment certificate, where applicable
  • Insurance certificate, where the Incoterm requires it
  • Traceability and origin records supporting due-diligence obligations
  • Any customs documents required for release into free circulation
VerificationThe documents required depend on commodity, origin and the applicable EU rules in force at the time of import. Requirements are confirmed per shipment with the customs agent and the competent authorities; nothing on this page should be treated as legal or customs advice.

Send us the commodity, specification, volume and destination. We reply to qualified enquiries with an indication of feasibility, timing and commercial terms, or tell you plainly if we are not the right counterparty.
