Commodity 03

Indonesian spices, coconut and tree nuts.

Indonesia is our origin for cocoa and coffee, and the same base in Bali gives us access to the spice, coconut and cashew lines below — imported into Europe on the same contractual basis as everything else we handle.

Origin

Why Indonesia, and why from Bali.

Indonesia is the world’s dominant clove producer — roughly 62% of global production — and a leading source of nutmeg and mace, vanilla, cassia, pepper, coconut products and cashew, alongside its coffee and cocoa.

It is also structurally hard to buy well. Production is spread across thousands of islands and smallholdings, quality varies lot by lot, and the documentation European importers now need is not something an exporter assembles by return of email.

Our base in Bali is the answer to that. It puts supplier qualification, sample handling and harvest-season coordination on the ground, in the same time zone as the producer.

Stated precisely: the Bali base is an operational and liaison presence with local partners — not a registered branch or a licensed Indonesian representative office. It does not contract, invoice or take payment. All contracts are concluded by Nevermore Sp. z o.o. in Poland.

How to read the origins aboveThe regions named above describe where each crop is grown in Indonesia. They are not a claim that Nevermore holds an active supply relationship for every line listed. These commodities are developed against confirmed buyer demand: tell us the product, grade and volume you need, and we will confirm in writing what we can source and on what timeline — before you plan around it.

Process

How a new commodity line is opened.

The same discipline applies whether the product is nutmeg or something we have never handled before.

  1. Requirement received

You provide the commodity, specification, annual volume, frequency, destination and any regulatory or certification requirement.

  2. Feasibility assessment

We assess origin availability, EU import conditions, applicable food-safety and customs requirements, and indicative logistics.

  3. Origin qualification

We identify and qualify candidate suppliers, verify export capability and request documentation and, where applicable, samples.

  4. Commercial structure

Specification, tolerances, Incoterm, payment terms and arbitration standard are drafted and agreed by both sides.

  5. Trial shipment

Where appropriate, a first contained shipment validates quality, documentation and logistics before a programme is committed.

  6. Programme

Once validated, the line moves to a contracted supply programme with agreed call-offs and review points.

Beyond Indonesia

We would rather publish nothing than publish a catalogue we cannot honour.

Many trading websites list dozens of commodities and a dozen countries they have never shipped from. It is easy to detect and expensive to recover from: the first enquiry that cannot be answered costs the relationship.

We are building producer relationships in further countries and will publish them as origins once they are operational. Until then, this page describes a process rather than a product list. Tell us the commodity, specification, volume, frequency and destination, and we will tell you within a defined period whether we can build a supply line for it — from Indonesia or from anywhere else.

Send the specification, volume and destination. A clear no is worth more to you than a vague yes, and we will give you one if that is the honest answer.
